I never had the privilege of meeting Genevieve or her family; but I have heard so many good things about her over the years from my mother, Lucille Stierwalt and a dear friend, Jane Lovell from Scranton, Iowa. I have printed Genevieve's obituary to send to Jane. If Jane were able I know she would attend your Mother's service. Jane is confined to "Long term care" in the Green Co. Medical Center in Jefferson, Iowa after a fall in her home earlier this year. My husband Ken & I live in Indianols, Iowa. Jane & I met when we were children at Blank Children's Hospital with polio in 1950. Sincere thoughts to your family..........Lila

Lila -- What a friend to connect Jane Lovell to the Sparks family. I tried to call Jane, and now I know why she did not answer the phone. I am sorry to hear about her need to be in long term care. Your note makes me want to go see her once I can get reconnected to the next chapter of life. Jane's parents have left her family's footprint on our lives. Today as we shared Mom and Dad's items with our family, Pearl's barn painting is going to Oregon with the youngest granddaughter and Leo's "One Day at a Time" sign will be hanging over the doorway at the oldest grandson's house. I will send Jane all the information from our service for Genevieve as soon as possible. Thank you so much for connecting me to her. She was one of the first people I tried to find because I knew she would want to know that Mother has changed her residence to a permanent address in HEAVEN. Sincerely, Glenna Bents May 29, 2017

Dear Marcia and Terry,
Thank you for the fun basket of daisy flowers. They were cheerful and made me think of "He loves me. He loves me not." When counting all the petals, eventually "He Loves Me." Jeremy, Julia, and I took your flowers to Grandma Sparks' grave on Saturday. On Tuesday, Dan, Opal, and I will check the status on the flowers and add another set of flowers on Grandma's grave. The flowers represent all the people who have loved her . Thank you for showering us with love and the visual image of a life connected to beauty. Sincerely, Glenna Bents
