When I was a little squirt I spent MANY happy hours at Leland and Geneva's playing with the girls. They always ended up taking me back to my mom and dad at Gramma Duckworth's when I would end up getting "home sick". I lovingly remember Geneva with the breeze helping her dry her laundry as she hung it on the line and she sweetly sang "Shall We Gather at the River". I've always loved that song because of that. She was a solace in many instances. God has recieved a precious lady. Hoping her family finds peace in that.

Geneva and all of Grandma Othella's sisters treated me just like one of their own grandchildren. Many great memories. I, as I am sure so many do, wish life was as family oriented as it used to be. I spoke with mom (Martha) and she was just not feeling up to the trip, but sends her love I am sure. We love you all and hope you find peace.

Dan and I and our extended family sent our sincere sympathy to all of Geneva's family.
Since the services will be tomorrow, we will not be able to attend. There are not many of our first cousins left. I'm sorry we did not have the chance to know you better when we were young, but enjoyed all our family reunions in later years. One time a lady in Chariton thought I looked like one of the Allen girls and asked which one I was. I thought that was a real compliment because all of the Allen girls were so pretty and so nice. If you haven' heard about me, I am the older daughter of your Uncle Ted, your Grandma Allen''s brother. We love you.
