William "Bill" J. Burch

William John “Bill” Burch was born on May 20, 1955 to Harry Lee and Elinor Fay (Boeckholt) Burch in Des Moines, Iowa. He passed away on Friday, September 22, 2018 in Humeston, Iowa at the age of 63 years.

Bill attended the Johnston High School and grew up around the Johnston area. He was united in marriage to Pamela Sue Nelson. They raised five children, Sean, James, Amanda, Mikey, and Charlee. The couple lived in the Des Moines most of their married life, however, moved to the Humeston area seven years ago.

Bill work hard as a contractor. Although, in his spare time, Bill enjoyed spending time with his family and grandkids, hunting, and fishing. He especially savored his time that he had spent at the Iowa State Fair every year possible. Bill was dedicated to attending church, reading his Bible and attending Celebrate Recovery.

Bill was preceded in death by his parents, Harry and Elinor Burch; his sister Joyce Dow and his niece, Amy Lackershire.

He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Pamela Burch of Humeston, IA; his children, Sean Hill of Des Moines, IA, James Einertson of Humeston, IA, Amanda (Wes) Anderson of Derby, IA, Mikey Burch of Des Moines, IA, and Charlee (Zakk) Burch of Ankeny, IA; his siblings, Barb (Mike) Buckner of Ankeny, IA and Dan (Rhonda) Burch of Ankeny, IA; his grandchildren, Kaylee Einertson, Owen Anderson, Madison Anderson, Ryan DeLeon Burch, and Phoenix Kliess Burch; his nieces and nephews, Brad (Sheila) Burch of Ankeny, IA, John (Erin) Bosley, Jackie Bosley, Billy Lackershire, Kelly (Travis) Minor, and John Burch; and many extended family, church family and dear friends.
