Vivian V Smith

Obituary

Vivian Smith was born April 23, 1939 to Thomas and Marjorie (Gibler) Smith in Davis City, Iowa.  She was the fourth child born out of six children.  Vivian graduated from the high school in Leon, Iowa. 

She met her future husband, Gary Wayne Smith and the were married November 26, 1958 in Des Moines, Iowa.  To this union, three wonderful children were born, Steven Russell, Thomas Wayne, Rebecca Jean.  Vivian and her family lived on a farm by Norwood for thirty-nine years.  Vivian was a quiet person, but her family will always remember what a great wife, mother, especially her good cooking.  She worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant for Good Samaritan Care Center in Indianola, Iowa.

Vivian passed away November 22, 2020 at the Lucas County Health Center in Chariton, Iowa.  She is preceded in death by her parents, Thomas and Marjorie Smith, her brother Lloyd Smith, sister Margaret, grandchild Luke Allen Smith and great-grandchild Abigail Kathleen Mar.  She is survived by her husband Gary Smith, her children Steven (Martha) Smith, Thomas Smith, Rebecca (Donald) Morrison, grandchildren, Samantha Smith, Steven (Kelsi) Smith, Hanna Smith, Jeffery (Tanya) Morrison,  great-grandchildren, Paisleigh, Paxton, Riley, Kymber, Willow, Ava, Houston,   siblings Lorene Olson, Davie Smith, Macelle Harlow  and numerous family and friends that will mourn her loss.
