Vickey L. Dale

Vickey was born on March 5th, 1949 in Knoxville, IA to her parents Richard and Patty Kerr. She spent her childhood in Knoxville, until she moved to Chariton with her family Richard, Patty, and Rick at age 12. She then met her lifelong partner Gregg at age 14. When she turned 18, Vickey and Gregg got married, with the plans to spend their life together forever, as they did. They started their family in 1972 when they had their first born Teri, and their second daughter Toni in 1974. Vickey had many health complications throughout her life, but that didn’t stop her from living it to the fullest. In 1996, Vickey received a kidney from her husband Gregg, as the first married couple in Iowa that was a perfect match for a transplant. She had many battles throughout her life, that being the most memorable. Vickey then spent the rest of her life giving her all to being a wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She enjoyed spending time with not only her family, but her many cats as well. She will forever be remembered for her kind and caring soul, and her unconditional love. Vickey will be forever loved and missed by her husband, Gregg Dale, her daughters Toni (Kurt) McCullough and Teri (Shawn) Stone, grandchildren, Kelsey (Brett) Kimzey, Max Dale, Bobbi (Cullen) Evans, Emmit Evans, Mila McCullough, Lia Stone and Sophia McCullough, great-grandchildren, Averi, Luci, Kamron, Jax, Harper, Alvi, and one on the way, as well as her brother, Rick (Patt) Kerr.  She was preceded in death by her parents Richard and Patty (Brown) Kerr, and her beloved feline friend, Penny.  Memorials may be directed toward American Cancer Kidney Foundation.
