Shirley Ann (Jones) Storm

Shirley Ann (Jones) Storm, 74, passed away Thursday, August 5, 2021 at the Chariton Specialty Care in Chariton, Iowa.  Shirley was the first child born to Freddie Milford and Dorothy Lee (Parson) Jones on October  2, 1946 in Leon, Iowa.  She started life east of Leon and grew up west of Leon.  Shirley attended school at Lone Star Country School and finished school in Leon.

On December 2, 1962, She was united in marriage to Raymond Storm.  Last December they celebrated 58 years of marriage.  To this union three children were born Shirley Jean, Raymond Edward, Roger Lee.

Shirley enjoyed dancing, sewing, mules and cooking.   After Shirley raised her children, she started working at Deco industries at Lucas, Iowa until they closed the doors.  She then started to work at Walmart in Indianola, Iowa for 15 years. Shirley also worked at the Iowa State fair for Livestock control Rock Island gate and horse shows.

 Shirley was preceded in death by her parents, grandparents, mother and father-in-law.  Left to mourn her death is her husband Raymond, her children,  Shirley Jean (Steve) Poole, Raymond “Ed” (Ronda) Storm, Roger Lee (Georgann) Storm, her grandchildren, Chris (Joanna) Poole, Sean Poole, Cheyenne, Cassidy and Billie Storm, Duncan, Georgia, Kinsley Storm, great-grandchild Samantha Poole. Also survived by siblings, her step-grandchildren, Rod (Becky), Emersyn and Taryn Clark, Adam (Ashley), Hadley, Jack, Bodie Clark, Frankie S. and numerous family and friends to many to name.  Shirley will be missed by so many.
