Mildred Funk passed away July 15, 2022 at the care facility in Osceola Iowa.  Mildred was preceded in death by her parents, Raymond and Lucille Kent, her brother, and first husband James Blizzard.  Mildred married Richard I. Funk in December 1972 who preceded her in death.  They were married for 20 years.  Mildred was also preceded in death by a step-son and step-daughter.  Mildred is survived by three step-children, step-grandchildren, several relatives, good friends  Jim and Jean Hager.  Mildred enjoyed most all of her life on the farm near Lucas Iowa.  She spent a lot of time taking care of her farm animals.  She was a school bus driver for many years. Mildred belonged to the Eastern Star Chapter #342 of Woodburn, Iowa and was a worthy matron.  Mildred was very proud of her Eastern Star ring and liked to share the story of what it meant to her. As Mildred’s step-daughter, I have fond memories of her visits and fun trips to Des Moines.  A Private burial will take place.
