A Celebration of Life will be held at later date
MaryJo Stone (Morse) was born on August 18th, 1936 to Edmond and Mary Belle (Campbell) Stone. She was raised in Lucas County, Iowa. MaryJo met the love of her life, Raymond Morse, at a roller-skating rink. The two were married on August 22, 1952 in Osceola, Iowa. To this union was born four daughters; Peggy, Vicki, Kathy, and Terri. MaryJo and Raymond raised their family in the Chariton area and attended the Christian Church. Faith and Family were very important to MaryJo. She taught Sunday School classes and was also a Deaconess. She was forever by Ray’s side at 4-H events, POA shows, and attended countless State Fairs. The two were inseparable. In 1973 the couple moved to Phoenix, Arizona where they continued their work with horses for another 17 years. They came back to the Chariton area to spend more time with family. MaryJo loved being an Avon consultant, a Mary Kay consultant, and a Stampin’ Up consultant. Friendships were very important to MaryJo and were often maintained by talking on the phone or sharing her Chocolate Water Cake recipe. When Raymond passed away in 2013 a piece of MaryJo’s heart went with him. She moved to Cody, Wyoming in 2015 where she found her passion for stamping and card making. She continued to attend church regularly and loved to hear the music. MaryJo Stone Morse passed away in the early morning hours of February 18, 2022.
