Kathryn "Kathy" Marie (Simpson) Cromer

Kathryn Marie (Simpson) Cromer, 58, passed peacefully  on Thursday, February 1, 2024 at the Wayne County Health Center . Kathy was born on March 4, 1965 at Leon, Iowa to Keith and Diana (Moren) Simpson.  Due to declined in Kathy’s health for the last four years she lived in Corydon.

In 1983, she graduated from East High School in Des Moines, Iowa. Kathy moved to Chariton, Iowa where she raised her two children, Heather and Ronnie Jr. She worked at CDS-Communications Data Services and Subway. Kathy accepted Christ into her heart, She was a member of the Cornerstone Community Church.

She was so proud of her children and grandchildren, love spending time with them and making wonderful memories. Kathy liked working on crosswords, puzzles, reading books and her Bible. She also loved watching her Vikings play football.

Kathy is survived by her daughter, Heather Cromer of Chariton, her son, Ronnie Jr. (Sarah) Cromer of Chariton, her grandchildren, Brooklyn Stewart, Alayna Cromer, Greycen Barnes, Ronnie Cromer III, Taylor Cromer, her sister Jody Moore (Smith)

She is preceded in death by her parents, Keith and Diana Simpson, her brother, Kelly Simpson. Kathy left behind great memories with her children, grandchildren, family and friends, she will be missed dearly. On line condolences may be left on www.fieldingfuneralhome.com.
