Judith Ann (Hines) Shultz

Judith Ann (Hines) Shultz, 54, passed away, Wednesday, November 9, 2022, at Broadlawns Medical Center in Des Moines, Iowa.  Judi was born on June 17, 1968, in Savanna, Georgia to Larry Wayne and Ruth Ann (Crook) Hines. She lived and went to school around Knoxville, Iowa.  As an adult Judi lived around Chariton and Des Moines area.  She worked at Hy-Vee in Altoona as a cashier for many years.

In 2010, Judi married Daniel Joseph Smith in Des Moines, Iowa.  She and Dan spent a lot of their time traveling due to him being an over the road semi driver.  On February 4, 2012, Dan passed away.

Judi enjoyed crocheting, animals, more specifically her dog Sammy, paranormal shows, haunted places, rock hunting, spending time and holidays with her children and grandchildren. Also, she loved painting, hanging out and BBQs with her BFF Carrie.  Judi loved reading romance novels in which she would swap books back and forth with her mom. Judi was very family orientated, spent much of her life around her family.

She is survived and greatly missed by her mother, Ruth A. Hines of Pleasant Hill, IA, her brothers, Marvin Hines of Altoona, IA, Todd (Becky) Hines of West Des Moines Iowa her sisters, Tammy Hines (Chris) of Grimes, IA, Nicole Hines (Johnny) of Pleasant Hill, IA, her daughters, Chrystal (Don) Mundy of Lacona, IA, Mary Shrader of Altoona, IA, her son, Danny Edwards of Norwalk, IA, her grandchildren, Nathan and Hunter Mundy, Connor Edwards, Blake and Zack Shrader, Noah Myers, Dane and Dace Dyer.

Judi is preceded in death by her husband, Dan Smith, her father, Larry W. Hines, her son, Gary E. Hines, her paternal grandparents Galen H. and Louise Hines, her maternal grandparents, Samuel and Mary Crook, her uncles, Tommy and J.R.
