Joyce Ann (Evans) Anderson, age 74, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on January 9, 2025, at the Chariton Specialty Care Center in Chariton, Iowa. She was born on June 13, 1950, in Chariton, Iowa to Kermit P. and Mardelle A. (Mundell) Evans. She attended and graduated from Chariton High School in 1968.

On June 14, 1968, Joyce married Keith Anderson in Lucas, Iowa. To this union 3 children were born, Matthew Keith, Jeffrey Preston, Nathan William.

Joyce worked at Hy-Vee Corporate offices in West Des Moines until she retired.  Family was important to Joyce. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchild. She enjoyed reading and taking care of her cats.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Kermit and Mardelle Evans, husband Keith Anderson, son, SPC Matthew Anderson, sister, Karon Evans Thompson, brothers, Keith and J.D. Evans.

Joyce is survived by her sons, Jef Anderson of Cedar Rapids, Nathan (Michelle) Anderson of Lucas, sister Karol (Don) Atwell of Russell, brother, Rae (Gerry) Evans of Russell, grandchildren, Erik, Breanne, Hailee, Kaiden, Presley, Eethan, Alyssa, Lilly, Littleton, Enzo Anderson, great-grandchild, Hazel Grace. Memorials may be directed to the family.

Services will be held 11:00 a.m., Thursday, January 16, 2025, at Fielding Funeral Home in Chariton, Iowa. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Interment will be held following the service at the Chariton Cemetery. A luncheon will be held at the Lucas Community Center in Lucas, Iowa following the interment.
