Jeff Alan Wesley

Jeffrey Alan Wesley, 60, passed away with family by his side, on Saturday, December 12, 2020 at the Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines, IA.  Jeff was born on April 23, 1960, in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, to Jerome Francis and Rachel Hunter (Arney) Wesley.  Jeff went to school and was raised in Dauphin, Pennsylvania. On October 28, 1981 he was united in marriage to Andrea Beth (McRoberts) Wesley in Russell, Iowa.  To this union four children were born: Stacia, Steven, Justin, Shelby.  Jeff served his country proudly, he was in the army for 22 years.  Jeff and family lived in Chariton, IA, for most of their life.  He worked as a highway tech for the Iowa State DOT for thirteen years. Jeff loved living the simple life with his family. He enjoyed spending time with his kids at the shooting range, carpentry, giving grandkids a ride on the lawn mower as he mows his grass, and Sunday Family Dinner with kids and grandkids. Jeff also enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, cooking, and gardening.  He knew no stranger, Jeff loved talking to anyone who would listen. Jeff was preceded in death by his mother, Rachel Wesley; uncle, John Wesley; father-in-law, Eugene McRoberts; brother-in-law, Buddy Conrad. He is survived by his wife, Andrea Wesley of Chariton, IA, children: Stacia (Cory) Spencer of Monroe, IA; Steven Wesley of Chariton, IA; Justin (Cara) Wesley of Chariton, IA; Shelby (Savannah) Wesley, of Chariton, IA; father, Jerome (Lori) Wesley of Spokane WA; sister, Sharon (Tommy) Howard of Wallace, ID; brother, Jeff (Robin) Schaeffer of Tower City, PA; mother-in-law, Beverly McRoberts of Chariton, IA; sisters-in-law, Terry (Vic) Southard of Vallejo, CA, Kathy (Rob) Hamilton of Chariton, IA, Kim Conrad of Chariton, IA; brothers-in-law, Scott (Jo) McRoberts of Knoxville, IA, Mark Howard of Spokane, WA, and his eleven grandchildren, Zaydyn, Kaycyn, Evylyn, Angel, Bianca, Tyler, Jazlyn, Gabriel, Kaylie, Abigail, and Oliver.  There are also numerous family and friends whom are left here to mourn his loss.  Memorials may be directed to the Wounded Warriors Project or American Lung Association.  On line condolences may be left at www.fieldingfuneralhomes.com.
