Jack Douglas Holder passed away on Monday, December 9, 2019. He was born March 15, 1963 in Knoxville, Iowa to George Holder III and Karen (McKee) Holder. He graduated from Chariton High School in 1981. He went on to attend William Penn University where he played football then transferred to DMACC to obtained his Fire Science degree and Masonry certificate.
He was blessed with two children, Jesse and Laci.
He served as a firefighter for the City of Newton and went on to work in Corrections at Oakdale and Newton.
Jack had a passion for hunting, fishing and being in his duck blind. He was proud of his state record deer and had a love for nature. He loved spending time with his dogs, his children and his first grandson.
He is survived by his children, Jesse Holder of Sully, IA; Laci (Ryan) of Colo, IA; and grandson Rowen Olson. His sister, Lisa (Gus) Carmona of Rye Brook, NY and niece Sarah Carmona. His sister, Angela (Dirk) Rosenberger of Indianola, IA and niece/nephew Morgan and Clay Rosenberger.
He is preceded in death by his parents, George and Karen Holder; His grandparents, Jack and Joy McKee and Tommy and Edna Holder.
