Gladys May Larson

Gladys May Larson, 68, passed away on Saturday, April 15, 2023 at the Chariton Specialty Care in Chariton, Iowa.  Gladys was born on May 22, 1954 at Portland, Oregon to George Larson and Delores Larson (Iiams). She graduated from Winterset High School in Winterset, IA. Gladys Moved to Des Moines then later to Chariton, IA, where she lived until her passing.

Gladys loved doing crochet, knitting, watching T.V., movies and sitting outside enjoying nature. She also volunteered at the senior center as long as her health allowed.

Gladys is survived in death by her son, Chris (Sherry) Larson of Osceola, IA, sister, Pat Eldredge, Olive Branch, MS, brother, William (Roselle) Larson of Philippines, grandchildren, Jonathan Michael Larson, Jacob Dwayne Larson and numerous nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents, George and Delores Larson, infant son, Michael James Docterman and sister Marye Elizabeth Larson.

Services for Gladys Larson will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, May 6, 2023 at Winterset Cemetery in Winterset, Iowa. A Celebration of Life will be held at 1:30 – 5:00 p.m., Saturday, May 6, 2023 at the Community Center in Chariton, Iowa.
