Gabriel LEH James Ruepke

Gabriel LEH James Ruepke was born January 19, 2000 to Tim and Rachel Ruepke in Knoxville, Iowa. He lived in Chariton most of his life. Gabe was very athletic in school was well known around his home town for his wrestling. He started his wrestling career at the very young age of 5.  He attended many prominent wrestling camps throughout the years that lead him to become a 4 time state place winner and holding the record at Chariton High School.  Gabe also excelled at and enjoyed playing soccer.  He graduated from Chariton High School in 2018.  Gabe and Crystal moved to Ankeny, IA and adopted their first furbaby, Ace, who is a handful and loved his cuddle time with Gabe.  

 Gabe began working as an iron worker for Local 67 and a Tower Climber for Elite Tower Solutions. Gabe kept busy when he was not working.  He loved spending time with family, friends and his girlfriend Crystal Milam.  He like to golf, fish, kayaking, cliff jumping, wrestling, soccer or anything involving a ball.

He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Larry and Thelma Holmes, his uncles, Doug Holmes Myers, Willy Holmes and Kory Ruepke.  Gabe is survived by parents Tim and Rachel Ruepke, siblings Cami (Joel) Sadler, Courtney (Cliff) Holmes, Chloe Ruepke, girlfriend Crystal Milam, grandparents Kim and Jim Ruepke, aunts and uncles Todd (Kim) Ruepke, Katie Ruepke, Kyle Ruepke, Tod Holmes, Lori (Doug) Logue, Jennifer Holmes, and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. 

Gabe passed away May 11, 2021, at his home in Ankeny, Iowa.  Services will be held 1:00 p.m., Sunday, May 16, 2021 at Fielding Funeral Home with Pastor Dennis St. Lawrence officiating.  Visitation will be held at the funeral home two hours prior to service.  Interment will be held at Chariton Cemetery at a later date.  Pallbearers will be Dylin Harberts, Taylor Sandy, Devin Harberts, Reid Walters, Carson Rector, Jade Spencer, Brock Spencer, Mark Illyenko, Conner Lundy, Clifford Luck, Best Friend Ace.
