Diana Lynne Shoup

Diana Lynne Shoup age 65 of Corydon, Iowa passed away on July 10, 2024 at the University of Iowa Hospitals in Iowa City, Iowa.

Diana was born in Chariton, Iowa on September 2, 1958, the daughter of Junior and Valeta (Hull) Pugh.  Diana enjoyed the outdoors playing with animals, fishing, swimming and enjoyed seeing the ocean.  Diana also loved watching westerns, playing bingo or card games, coloring books and shooting pool.  Her greatest love was caring for her family and grandchildren and allowing them to braid her hair or paint her nails as long as it was bright red.  She was of the Christian faith.

Diana is survived by her children, Nicole (Daniel) Herbert of Minersville, Pennsylvania and Daniel (Alexis) Shoup of Allerton, Iowa, her grandchildren; Karna (Isaiah) Patton, Twila Hampton, Paige (Paul) Waddell and Sophia Herbert, MacKenzie Shoup, Benjamin Shoup, Daniel W. Shoup, Alyssa Shoup, Aiden Shoup, Isaac Shoup her great-grandchildren: Ouroboros Patton, Jordan Waddell, and Margot Merfeld along with her sister Christine (Brian) Grimes of Corydon, Iowa, her niece Tiffney Grimes and nephew Logan Grimes. She was preceded in death by her parents and her grandchildren; Trey Shoup, Reagan Shoup and Rylee Shoup.

According to her wishes cremation has been accorded.  A memorial service will be held this fall.  The Fielding Funeral Home of Chariton, Iowa is honored to care for and minister to the Shoup family during this time.
