David Fosmark Obituary

David Lee Fosmark, Republic, Missouri, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Wednesday, October 27, 2021, at the age of 83 years, 4 months and 11 days. David was born in Burton, Washington on June 16, 1938, the son of Palmer and Thelma Fosmark.
In his early years, his family traveled a lot because his father was an evangelist. His father had a dream that David would follow in his footsteps, but David followed another path. He earned a bachelor's degree in business administration from New Mexico State University. His family home was on Vashon Island in the Puget Sound near Seattle, and he spent his summers there. David married Deloris "Maxine" Dickman on March 8, 2008 and created a beautiful combined family, with his three amazing daughters, Kathryn, Rhonda and Cheryl and Maxine’s three wonderful children, Dan, Christie and Mary Carol. He was entirely dedicated to his wife Maxine. He considered her his soul mate and best friend.
His work allowed him to travel extensively. He spent time in Thule, Greenland, Cherry Hill,
New Jersey, the White Sands missile range in New Mexico, Nenana, Alaska, Trinidad, in the West Indies and Oxnard, California. He retired in Alaska and moved to Florida for a short time before settling in Missouri. David was a master gardener and an avid rock-hound. He has licked a lot of rocks in his lifetime to see how beautiful they would shine when polished. He gave his family the love of music, making sure his girls could learn to play any instrument they chose. His beautiful voice filled the car on long trips and the house when they were home. He instilled a love of books and learning in them. He taught his girls how to hunt and fish and to love the outdoors and everything that it means. David's children learned to swim in the Caribbean Sea and sleep under the stars in Alaska. He gave his family the world and meant the world to them.
David was a member of the West Greene County Gideon Camp.
David is preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his loving wife, Maxine, daughters, Kathryn Cozad, Rhonda Heyns and
Cheryl Myers, and stepchildren, Dan, Christie, Mary Carol and five amazing grandchildren, Shannon, Jon, Michael, Kristina and Ryan as well as numerous great grandchildren, his siblings Ruth Whiting and Paul Fosmark as well as other extended family and friends.
