Bruce Wayne Morrison, age 68, passed away, January 7, 2025 at his home in Chariton, Iowa. He was born on November 29, 1956, in Corydon, Iowa to Ronald Winfield and Edna Alice (Brown) Morrison. Bruce worked at the Hy-Vee warehouse loading trucks during and after high school. Bruce attended and graduated from Chariton High School in 1976.

On July 3, 1976, he was united in marriage with Merry Ann Reed in Russell, Iowa. To this union three daughters were born, Erin, Nicole and Gayle. Later Bruce and Merry divorced. In 1996, he met Deborah Snow at the Salt Palace and later got married that year.

Bruce traveled around Iowa, Colorado and Utah. He worked a variety of different jobs working as a custodian at casinos, event centers, Safeway, and stocker at Walmart. He was a very hard worker, and he took pride in his work. In 2009, he moved to Chariton to be closer to his daughters. He enjoyed cheering on the Iowa Hawkeyes, Kansas City Chiefs and traveling on vacation to the 4 corners. He also loved his pets Sadie and Jinx.

Left to mourn his death are his daughters, Erin (Steve) Lafollette of Williamson, Nicole (Travis) Hegwood of Newton, Gayle Darrah (Wyler Halferty) of Melcher, his sisters, Teresa Nichols (Ron Ollerich) of Johnson, Cheryl Hubbard of Pleasantville, Rhonda Morrison of Salt Lake City, UT, his eight grandchildren, his six great-grandchildren, his two nieces and several great nieces and nephews.  Bruce will be missed by so many.

Bruce is preceded in death by his parents, Ronald and Edna Morrison.

Services will be held at a later date under the direction of Fielding Funeral Home in Chariton, Iowa. Memorials may be directed to his family.
