Brian Lee Meholovich Obituary
Brian Lee Meholovich, 53, passed away from complications from pancreatic cancer on April 22nd, 2025 in Chariton, Iowa. Like a warrior, he battled stage four pancreatic cancer for over a year and a half.
Brian was born on October 11th, 1971 to Judy Moon and Butch (Teresa) Meholovich. While he moved around often in his younger years, he always found his way back to either Chariton or Knoxville, Iowa. He started his life in these towns as well as found stability in them in his later years.
Brian was known as a big family man. To him, family wasn't only those who shared blood. Family was also the good people he chose to surround himself with. Regardless if they were blood or part of his chosen family, he always put his family first. When he received his cancer diagnosis, his biggest priority was spending the rest of his time dedicated to becoming closer with his grandchildren.
At too early of an age, Brian left behind a large, loving family and group of friends. He is survived by his wife, Teresa Meholovich. He leaves behind two daughters, Casey (Ricky) Stines and Brieanna (Kris) Friesenhahn. He also leaves behind four grandchildren, all of whom he adored and spoiled. His grandchildren include Saje Friesenhahn, Acaicia Friesenhahn, Akai Friesenhahn, and Zelda Stines.
He's also survived by several younger siblings. Brian loved being the big, instigating brother. From his mother, he is survived by his sister Stacey Goben (Josh Enos) and his brother James (Bevin) Potter. From his father, he is survived by Brenda Meholovich-Rodberg, Crystal Wallace, Robert Wallace, and Mickie Casteel. Lastly, he also left behind three step siblings that were just as close, Ian (Kendra) Beckjordan, Jeremy (Alicia) Moon, and Francis (Jerod) Miller.
Brian also left behind many aunts, uncles, and cousins that he loved dearly. He was preceded in death by his mother, Judy Moon.
