David Church (79) of Chariton, IA passed away peacefully at home on February 4, 2023, with his wife Terri by his side.
David was born to Arthur and Hazel Church on November 7, 1943 in Boone, N.C.
He was a member of Corydon High School class of 1962, until he enlisted in the Marine Corp. and served during the Vietnam war.
In January of 1976, he met Terri Lease whom he married on July 24, 1976 and the 47 year adventure began. David drove a truck for 40 years, and the homecomings were always sweet and loving. David worked for and lived for 24 years in Salt Lake City, Utah; returning to Iowa in 2008 after retiring.
He was preceded in death by his parents: Author Leo and Hazel Jane Church; two sisters Frankie Joanne Robson and Julia Louise Davis; one daughter Charolet Church and one granddaughter: Lillyanna Terress Lorenzen.
David is survived by his beloved wife, Terri and 3 children Bonnie (Gary) Garvoille of Springfield MO. Loren Church of Salt Lake City, Utah and Frankie Lorenzem of Choctaw, OK.
7 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren and 2 sisters Wanda Cress of Moreno Valley, CA and Sara Brown of Chariton, IA. As well as numerous other in laws and outlaws.
