Alvin Eugene Lindsey

Alvin Eugene Lindsey was born November 13, 1948 in Sioux City, Iowa to Fred Lafayette and Maurine (Cutter) Lindsey.  On April 7th 1972 he was united in marriage to Catherine Stewart and to that union there were three sons, Christian, Todd, Clayton.  Later remarried Debra Sams on February 27, 2007 and she brought with her three more sons, Dustin, Delbert III, and Daniel Halterman.  Alvin enjoyed playing cribbage with all of his buddies and taking naps with his dogs.

Alvin Eugene Lindsey, age 72 of Chariton passed away on September 3, 2021 peacefully at home with his wife and 3 dogs.

Those left to honor his memory include his wife of 14 years, Debra, dogs Katie, Trixie, Benji, children, Christian (Kim) of Kansas, Todd (Lisa) of Indianola, Clayton (Caila) of Ankeny.  Step-children, Dustin (Courtney), Delbert III (Jessica) both of Lacona, IA, and Daniel Halterman of Chariton and several grandchildren, a sister Martha Schumacher, brother Jon Lindsey.  Also surviving are several nieces and nephews.

Preceding  in death were his parents, sisters, Gladys, Minnie, Lorene, Pauline, Donna and Karen and brothers, Allen, Donald, Robert, Earl, James, Charles, Bennett, Marvin, Carey, James, Wilbur and Fred Lindsey.

Memorial services will be held 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, September 8, 2021 at Fielding Funeral Home with visitation one hour prior before services.  Interment will be held at Kennebec Cemetery at a later date.
