Steve Rasmus

Steve was born on December 4, 1944 to Wilmer LeRoy and Glendola Rasmus. He attended country school then high school in town and graduated from Chariton High School in 1963. He poured basement walls and drove truck for years. He married Wilma Heidman and they had two daughters, Terry and Tammy.

He purchased the Hurribak Club in the early 80's. Wilma passed away in 1991. He later met Nola Beenken and they were married in 1993 in Las Vegas.  Steve adopted Nola's son Brady and raised him as his own. Those two were meant for each other! Steve also enjoyed working on sprint cars in Knoxville with his friend Bruce Williams. He also enjoyed playing cards at the bar, football, family, and of course spending time with his grandchildren,  Aubri, Alexa, and Austin.  Steve was a member of the Eagles, Masonic Lodge #63, and Shriners.

Steve was diagnosed with Alzheimer's in 2012 and in 2017 went to live at Southern Hills Specialty Care. In 2019  Steve was diagnosed with cancer once again, and spent his final 6 days at Legacy Lodge Hospice.

Steve is survived by his wife, Nola of 26 years. His son Brady (Jennifer) Rasmus. Daughter Terry Stansbery. Grandchildren Aubri, Alexa, and Austin Rasmus. Jeff (Whitney) Ryan and Brandon Terrell. Daniel and Maicy Rasmus. Great grandchildren MIa, Finn, and Addison.

Steve is proceeded in death by his father Wilmer, mother Glendola, Infant sister Sharon and daughter Tammy.
