Jediah Daniel Hammons was born December 31, 1975 in Bellflower, California to Curt Douglas Hammons and Darcy Kay (Bartel) Hammons. He passed from this life, Monday, July 16, 2018 at his home in West Des Moines, Iowa at the age of 42 years.
Jediah grew up and attended school in Long Beach and Bellflower, California. He spent the majority of his adult life in Colorado in cities such as Fort Collins, Denver, and Broomfield. August 31, 2012, Jediah was united in marriage to Charity Ann Baker in Fort Collins, Colorado. They couple had just recently relocated to Des Moines, Iowa in June 2018.
Music, glassblowing and being a chef were his biggest passions in life. The Grateful Dead, were embedded into the fabric of his being. He had traveled the country, many thousands of miles to attend hundreds of shows and festivals throughout his life. Jediah loved to share his art as he sold glass, jewelry, and his own brand of clothing at dozens of venues across the nation. He was a faithful husband and friend. He was there to help anyone in need, gave the biggest hugs which were full of love and positive energy.
Jediah was preceded in death by his grandfather, Eugene Douglas Hammons. He is survived by his parents, Curt and Darcy (Bartel) Hammons of Long Beach, California; his wife, Charity Ann Baker of West Des Moines, Iowa; his sister, Jennifer Marie Robrecht of Oxnard, California; his grandmother, Eva Helen Hammons of Bellflower, California; four nephews, one niece, and many beloved friends.
