What a great friend and wonderful neighbor! And an excellent obituary celebrating an exceptional family. I remember them visiting us and attending church here in Harlingen many years ago. We certainly admire and respect your family now resting, still as neighbors to the Vincents and Barkers, in our little country cemetery.

Evelyn and I were best friends since high school. We have kept in contact all these years. Because Evelyn lived on a farm in the country and I lived in town, Evelyn often stayed with my parents and I so she could attend school events. My parents thought the world of her and Evelyn said 'I love your parents'. When Guy and Evelyn went on their first date, I was there. Evelyn always put flowers on my parents grave, when I was unable to get to Russell.
I will never have a friend like Evelyn. I will miss our weekly telephone calls. Rest in Peace, Evelyn.
