Donna J. Moore-Grgurich-Bell, 61, passed away Sunday, September 3, 2017 at Mercy Medical Center.

Donna was born April 25, 1956 to Leonard Elbert Moore and Gloria Leta (Borchert) Moore- DeWitt in Albia, Iowa. She grew up on the farm south of Russell, Iowa and graduated from Russell High School in 1974. After High School, she attended Des Moines Area Community College then beginning her career at the Iowa Development Economic Authority. During her career, she went through at least four governors, she retired in 2014 after almost 40 years of service.

Donna was a wonderful loving person. She cared about and for a lot of family and friends. She was a person that you knew could get things done. Everyone she met loved her. Donna was most happy when she was with Earl and or Malachi. Donna always loved and supported her children, Holly and Grant, even if she didn’t agree with their decisions. Donna loved to travel with her travel buddy, Dee, especially to Chicago to see Malachi and Holly. Donna was the best mother anyone could ask for and we (Holly and Grant) were lucky to have her in our lives for this short time.

Donna loved going to auctions, garage sales, antiquing, decorating and cooking for the holidays. She always went to her kids ballgames and events, cheering them on. She loved being outdoors and working with the dirt, mushroom hunting, growing tomatoes and flowers.

But Donna loved Home the most. She was a true homebody, enjoying a relaxing nap but spending time with family always came first. Donna loved being a wife to Earl, mother to Holly and Grant, Grandma to Malachi, sister to Diane, Wayne, Carl, Dale and Dee. An Aunt to Lindsay, Candi, Jason, Amy, Jeremy, Cody and Christen. As well as a Niece, cousin and friend to many. There is so much more that could be said about Donna and so many wonderful memories of the times laughing, loving life and showing how beautiful a person she was.

Donna is preceded in death by her parents, Leonard Elbert Moore and Gloria Leta (Borchert) Moore- DeWitt, step-father Floyd DeWitt. Left to cherish her memories are Husband Earl Bell, daughter Holly (Solomon Pete) Grgurich and Grandson Malachi Pete of Chicago, Illinois, son Grant Grgurich of Iconium, sister Diane (Chris) Nelson of Des Moines, brothers Wayne Moore of Purdin, MO., Carl (Julie) Moore of Russell, Dale Moore of Chariton and sister Dee Moore of Largo, Florida.
