Bernice Adams, 79, passed peacefully on November 9, 2017 at the Circle of Life Hospice & Legacy Lodge in Chariton, Iowa.

Bernice was born July 25, 1938 in Villisca, Iowa to Clyde and Laura (Lewis) McFarland.

On July 27, 1958, Bernice was joined in marriage to Jim Adams in Morton Mills, Iowa.  To this union were born four children. Ed  (Laura) Adams of Pleasant Hill, Iowa, Brenda Adams of Rochester, NY, Diana  (Rod) Mumford of Chariton, and Steve (Tami) Adams of Chariton.  They lived on a farm near Chariton, Iowa, for 35 years where she enjoyed her grandchildren, farming, gardening and country life. 

Bernice was preceded in death by her parents, Clyde and Laura, sisters Juanita Anderson and Mary Jane Wade.

She is survived by husband, Jim and their four children and families. This includes grandchildren Jimmy (Jillian) Adams, Bryan (Ellisa) Adams, CJ Adams (AJ), Shawn (Ashley) Ruepke, Julian Herrera, Josh Herrera, Michelle Adams, Steven Adams, Summer (Luke) Evans, Caleb (Niki) Mumford, Haley (Trapper) Rogers, many relatives and friends.

Great grandchildren Hudson, Theo, Connor, Lilly, Allysa, Kage, Karter, Dallas, Caden, Kam, Sophie, Charlotte, Syiless, Ella, Nicklaus, Masen, Violet, Gunner, Maycee, and one on the way.
